Iowa star Caitlin Clark struck the classiest pose after leading her team to its third consecutive Big Ten tournament championship Sunday.
The NCAA’s all-time leading scorer finished with 34 points and 12 assists in a 94—89 overtime thriller against Nebraska and became the first player since 1995 to win the MVP award in three straight Big Ten tournaments.
After the game, Clark was asked to recreate Kobe Bryant’s iconic photo, which depicts the Los Angeles Lakers legend holding the Larry O’Brien championship trophy in a shower stall after the Lakers’ Game 5 win over the Philadelphia 76ers in June 2001.
Like the majority of her performances this season, Clark delivered.
Fans on social media loved the recreation.
Earlier this month, when Clark passed Pete Maravich to become the all-time leading scorer in men’s or women’s major college basketball history, Bryant’s widow, Vanessa Bryant, congratulated the senior Hawkeyes guard on social media.
The 22-year-old Clark announced in February that she plans to enter the 2024 WNBA draft.
