Team Reba’s Josh Sanders Wins Knockout Round With Corey Kent’s “Wild As Her”

In the Knockout Round of Season 25 of The Voice, Josh Sanders from Team Reba secured his spot in the Playoffs with his rendition of Corey Kent’s “Wild As Her.”

Coaches Reba McEntire, Dan + Shay, Chance the Rapper, and John Legend joined forces to pair up their teammates for this pivotal stage in the competition. Unlike the duet format of the Battles, the Knockouts featured solo performances, allowing each artist to showcase their unique style and talent through song choice.

In the matchup between Ashley Bryant and Josh Sanders, Bryant delivered a rendition of “Heads Carolina, Tails California” by Jo Dee Messina, while Sanders showcased his talent with “Wild as Her” by Corey Kent.

“Ashley, you did great. You hit that big note at the end. I know you’ve got the pipes to support it,” McEntire said after their performances. “And Josh, you can sell a song so well that I believe it. That’s one of your talents. I love you both and thanks for taking the journey.”

In the end, Sanders emerged as the winner, with McEntire attributing his success to his ability to fully inhabit his song choices.

“He relates to ’em, and I think that’ll be a huge contender,” the Coach explained.

Originally a pastor and worship leader, Josh has consistently impressed since his initial audition on The Voice. His performance of “Whiskey On You” by Nate Smith turned two chairs, including those of Reba McEntire and Dan + Shay, leading him to choose Team Reba.

“The power, once you got into it, I really did like it,” Reba said after his audition. “Then I saw them turning around — I thought, ‘Oh my gosh, now what am I going to have to do?’ But I would really love to have you on Team Reba.”
