Kamilla Cardoso discusses decision to declare for WNBA Draft.

South Carolina center Kamilla Cardoso will play with South Carolina for the final time this weekend as the Gamecock star is headed to the WNBA Draft.
Cardoso has played for the Gamecocks for the past three seasons, after transferring from Syracuse after her freshman season.
Cardoso is South Carolina’s leading scorer and rebounder and was recently named the Albany 1 Region MVP.
On Thursday in Cleveland, Cardoso spoke to WACH FOX about her decision to go pro.
She said she made the decision on Monday, the day she announced.

“I took a long time to think about it,” she said. “It was a really hard decision for me to make because I got really close to this team.”
Cardoso is expected to be a top-5 lottery pick in this year’s WNBA Draft.
She said it was a hard decision as she has gotten really close to this year’s team.
“It hurt my heart,” she said. “But I know they’re gonna support me no matter what.”
South Carolina will play NC State in the Final Four on Friday, April 5th.
